Our Course and Mobility Projects within the Scope of the Erasmus Exchange Program:
BIP – Intercultural Marketing Communication Course: Within the framework of Erasmus Intensive and Blended Programs, we have been conducting the Intercultural Marketing Communication course since 2021 in collaboration with four European universities: Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) in the Netherlands, Koblenz University in Germany, Porto Polytechnic Institute Business School (ISCAP) in Portugal, and Yasar University Faculty of Communication in Turkey. The course involves the participation of 20-45 students and 5 faculty members. Hosted by Yasar University, the course takes place on our campus, where students receive joint lessons on communication campaign design and prepare and present campaigns for real companies based on the needs identified by company executives.
BIP – Media Innovation and Sustainable Tourism Course: In 2023, the Department of Public Relations and Advertising is participating in an international project within the scope of the “Blended Erasmus Project.” The project, titled “Media Innovation for Sustainable Tourism,” is a blended intensive project (BIP) involving the participation of Yasar University Graduate School of Social Sciences, Panteion University in Greece, and Darmstadt University in Germany. Dr. Ferah Onat, an associate professor from the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Yasar University, is participating in the project. The aim of the project is to promote sustainable tourism in the Cycladic Islands, starting from Naxos, first to the local community and then to incoming tourists. The project also aims to establish new business models and financial instruments for this purpose.
